Huawei is set to expand its ultra-premium smartwatch range with a stylish new version of its flagship wearable.
The company has confirmed that it will launch the Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Extraordinary Master Diamond Edition in China on April 20, introducing a distinctly luxurious—and more feminine—choice to the series.
This announcement will coincide with a broader product showcase that will also highlight the upcoming Huawei Watch Buds 2, but it’s this diamond-encrusted model that’s already capturing the most attention.

A more refined, jewelry-inspired design
Unlike the bold, masculine vibe of the existing Watch Ultimate Design Royal Edition, the new Diamond Edition takes a completely different route.
rom the teaser materials shared on Weibo, it’s clear that Huawei is embracing a jewelry-inspired aesthetic.
The watch face is adorned with diamond accents at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, and you’ll find even more stones embedded throughout the strap.
The case itself features a faceted, diamond-cut design, giving this wearable a sophisticated, almost bracelet-like charm.
But it’s not just the gemstones that set it apart. The Diamond Edition swaps out the dual round button layout of the Royal Edition for a sleeker combination of a digital crown and a pill-shaped side button, enhancing its elegant appearance.
Expanding the Ultimate Design lineup
This new variant will join the existing Watch Ultimate Design Royal Edition, which Huawei introduced in China last November before rolling it out to Europe in January 2026.
That model positioned itself as one of the most expensive smartwatches on the market, blending high-end materials with Huawei’s full suite of health and fitness features.

While Huawei hasn’t shared any technical specifications for the Diamond Edition yet, it’s widely expected to mirror the core hardware and capabilities of the Royal Edition. The primary differences, at least for now, appear to be in design and target audience.
Pricing likely to match its premium ambitions
Huawei is keeping pricing under wraps ahead of the launch, but expectations are already high—and not in an affordable way.
For context, the Royal Edition debuted at CNY 24,999 in China, later arriving in Europe for €3,299 and in the UK for £2,999.99.
Given the addition of diamond detailing and its positioning as a luxury-focused variant, the Extraordinary Master Diamond Edition will almost certainly sit in the same price bracket, if not higher.
With this launch, Huawei seems intent on pushing deeper into the luxury smartwatch space—where technology meets high-end fashion—and broadening its appeal beyond traditional, performance-focused wearables.
